Beginning Sunday, May 17, will mark a "next step" in our "Re-Open" path as we offer two opportunities to attend worship services in-person. The 8:00 a.m. service is intended to be for adults age 65 and up, or others who have underlying health conditions that restrict them getting out. Our intent is that younger adults and those who are "out and about" more will attend the second service at 10:30 a.m., rather than the 8:00 a.m. service. The 10:30 a.m. service will also be broadcast live on Facebook Live and LiveStream, as well as by radio on KPYK 102.5 FM or 1570 AM.
We are offering people an opportunity to attend worship in-person, but do not want anyone to feel "pressured" to attend. Join us if you like, but feel free to stay home and join us online for worship and Sunday School if that better suits your need and comfort level. For those who do attend, we have a team who will be working to sanitize the facility following the 8:00 a.m. service. We will also have an arrival team to help acquaint attenders with precautions we are asking people to observe for their protection, as well as the protection of others. This includes items such as:
- If you don't feel well, please do not attend.
- Wear a face-covering mask, at least during entry and exit times.
- Sanitize your hands when arriving. (Sanitizing stations are provided in each entry area)
- Observe and practice social distancing at all times - respect the space of others, and ask them to do the same for you.
- Cover coughs and sneezes.
- Avoid touching your face. Minimize touching of "things" on campus as best you can.
- Distance in seating - every other pew is blocked off, and attendees are encouraged to sit at one end or the other of available pews. (Family units may sit together without spacing.) Some sections may be blocked off to help minimize areas that need to be sanitized after use.
If you're one of those able to join us, and would be interested and willing to be part of our "Re-Open Team" over coming weeks, please let Keith know (email@example.com). The Arrival Team welcomes and shares with arrivers about our protection measures and seating arrangements for spacing. Our Cleaning Team will sanitize the campus between the two services.
So join us Sunday if you desire and are comfortable doing so. Otherwise, we invite you to continue to join us online. We will broadcast live for worship as well as Sunday School/LifeGroups. The Sunday School/LifeGroup lesson will be on Facebook Live beginning at 9:30 a.m. and include interactive elements so viewers can ask questions, share comments, or prayer needs online. Worship broadcasts begin at 10:30 a.m. on Facebook Live as well as LiveStream. You can also listen to the worship broadcast on KYPK radio 1570 AM/102.5 FM.
Links for the Facebook Live and LiveStream broadcasts are available from the home page of our website (fbcterrell.org). The URL for our Facebook page is facebook.com/FirstBCTerrell. The URL for the LiveStream worship broadcast livestream.com/fbcterrell.
DVDs of the worship service are available for "drive-by" pick-up in the early part of each week. These are in a clear tote bin under the covered drive by the corner of N. Catherine and W. College Streets.
As we move toward resuming full gatherings, please continue to be light, salt, hope, and encouragement to our neighbors and community. We are to be a people of peace and assurance who are dependent upon our Lord, knowing He holds all things in His hands. Please continue to pray for our
church, community, state, nation, and world. Look around you for those who could use some help or encouragement. What opportunities to
serve might these events offer to “be Jesus” to others?
