God created us for a purpose. He wants to have a relationship with us. And He's provided a way to make that possible. We want to help adults live in the fullness of a redeemed life that God desires. The ministries of our church are designed to help adults encounter God, initially through Christ Jesus, and then at ever-deepening levels. Our ministries are also designed to equip believers for growing spiritually and serving in ministry. And our church is designed to help believers be empowered into ministry. If God has brought you here, He has a place and a purpose for you in the body of Christ that is First Baptist Church.
Sunday School & LIFE Groups are great places to get connected with others and involved in ministry, wrapped around weekly Bible study. Classes are generally grouped by age to help provide entry points with those at a similar place in life. We encourage beginning with an age-grouped class that meets your situation, then explore others as needed until you find what is comfortable for you.
There is no better place to get connected. 9:15 a.m. Sunday mornings.
Contact Keith (email@example.com) for assistance in identifying
or locating a Sunday School group to try.
Discipleship is the process of becoming more like Jesus. It's a journey that never ends this side of heaven. Growing in our faith is biblical, and it's what our Lord commanded: "Go therefore and make disciples." Disciples reproduce disciples. To produce one, we must be one.
discipleU offers great study courses and groups to help us grow in our faith journey. dU offers variety, from traditional classroom group courses to self-study via the internet using RightNow Media. There is something for everyone. Our current discipleship emphasis as a church is Growing Up.
Men and women each have unique needs. Bonds with others of the same sex in friendships and sharing life are invaluable and irreplaceable. And they're essential when life's crises moments arise.
We have a variety of events and small group environments for both men and women. This includes some regular events, such as small group meetings, as well as periodic special events. We invite you to check out and become involved in some of these groups and events. They're a great place to get further connected and enjoy life's relationships.
The Classics (Senior Adult Ministry) serves those individuals 55 and better by offering opportunities for fellowship, service, growth, and adventure.
The Classics is a very active part of the First Baptist family.
Join us for our monthly Fun, Food, and Fellowship the SECOND Thursday of each month at 11:15 am in the ROC dining Room. Bring a covered dish and enjoy the games, the people and the food!
One of the great traditions of the Classics is their desire to travel and attend area events. This includes day trips to some great area locations as well as an annual long trip or two to explore our country and share fellowship along the way.
