  • John Lowrie

    Senior Pastor

    John Lowrie has served as our Senior Pastor since 2006. God has done some awesome things in our church under John's leadership. John is married to Kristi, and they have three children: John David, Ashlyn, and Abbi. John previously served as Pastor at First Baptist church of Abernathy, Texas. John is a graduate of Baylor University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. By the way, John is a BIG Ranger's fan. Email: john@fbcterrell.org

  • Keith Clayton

    Minister of Education & Outreach

    Keith joined our ministry staff in 2000 from corporate life, after having been an FBC member for nine years. He works with our various education ministries and leads in our outreach efforts. Keith has completed various course work at Southwesthern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Northwestern State University in Louisiana. He and his wife, Jo, have two adult children, and four grandchildren. Email: keith@fbcterrell.org

  • Russell Shaw

    Minister of Music & Senior Adults

    Russell was born and raised in Mesquite, Texas. He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 8, and was very active in church activities. At the age of 14, Russell felt the call to ministry and served his home church, Sunnyvale First Baptist during high school. In 2012, Russell received his Bachelors degree in Church Music from Ouachita Baptist University, and he accepted the Associate Worship Pastor role at his home church. In 2015, Russell received his Masters degree in Worship Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. In April of 2017, Russell married the love of his life, Hadden Avery. One week later, Russell was called to be the Minister of Music and to Senior Adults by First Baptist Terrell. Russell loves the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Longhorns. Most of all, Russell loves being able to use his passion for music to help lead others in worship. Email: russell@fbcterrell.org

  • JP Black

    Minister of Youth and Recreation

    JP has grown up in Terrell all his life. When he was 12 years old he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and believed, placing his faith in Jesus' atoning work for sin on the cross and his resurrection from the grave. Since then, JP has made it his ambition to live out the gospel. As he grew older he felt God calling him to Student Ministry and the summer after graduating high school in 2017 he surrendered his life to God's calling. After graduating high school, he felt the Lord leading him to a season of preparation for ministry and found himself at Dallas Baptist University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies. JP is now pursuing his MDiv at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. In December of 2018, he took over as an interim youth minister , and in June 2019, JP was called to be the Minister of Youth and Recreation. In January of 2020, JP married the love of his life Kathryn, and the two of them live in Terrell, Texas. JP loves chips and salsa, baseball, and his dog Yoda.

  • Sandra Harrelson

    Financial Secretary

    Sandra is our Financial Secretary and processes the financial transactions that flow through the church office. Sandra and her husband, Jimmy, have been members of FBC Terrell since 2003. They have three grown children - Jeremy, Karissa and Jamii -- and four grandchildren -- Kolton, Kendallyn, Rylan and Lillian. Email: sandra@fbcterrell.org

  • Kim Abbott

    Member & Publishing Secretary

    Kim is our church membership and publishing secretary. She maintains our membership records and prepares the various publications, artwork, and mail outs for our church.
